The development

The first 150,000 injectable seasonal flu vaccine doses under Bulgaria’s programmes for children and older adults have arrived, the Health Ministry announced on 22 October. Distribution to general practitioners is expected from the following week. [1]

The details

The ministry distinguishes delivered stocks from additional quantities expected in November. Availability in a warehouse does not mean every practice has doses the same day. Access follows the conditions of the relevant national programme. [2]

Context

The practical issue is how appointments and deliveries are organised, rather than the national total alone. Families and older adults need information from the clinician administering the vaccine. Product suitability and individual circumstances require a medical assessment.

What comes next

People interested can ask their GP when supplies are expected and whether they are eligible under the programme. This report does not replace medical advice or promise a particular practice’s delivery date. The image is an illustrative archive vaccination, not the October shipment or its products.
