The development

Germany’s Ensinger plans to invest more than €10 million in a production base in Pleven, Investor.bg reported on 22 October. Manufacturing is scheduled to begin in spring 2027, with up to 130 jobs expected at full capacity. [1]

The details

These are announced investment plans and projected employment. They do not mean every position has already been created or the factory is operating. The planned launch should be distinguished from actual commissioning.

Context

For Pleven, the significance goes beyond the investment amount. Durability of employment, required technical skills and relationships with local suppliers also matter. Reusing existing industrial space places attention on the preparation and equipment of the operation itself.

What comes next

The next verifiable milestones are installation, recruitment and confirmation of production starting. The maximum projected workforce is not a promise of immediate hiring. The archive city photograph shows Pleven, not Ensinger’s future premises.
