A small Cessna aircraft crashed into a private yard in Bohot, near Pleven, on 24 October, killing the 22-year-old man flying it. Police and fire crews attended the scene. No residents were injured and the later police account reported no damage to buildings.

A flight outside the training programme

The man was a student at a private flying school. The school’s management said he took off alone without permission and that the flight was not part of his instruction. That account concerns how the flight began; it does not establish why the aircraft subsequently crashed.

The investigation comes next

The circumstances are being examined and the case is to be reported to the Pleven district prosecutor’s office. There is no confirmed technical cause in the information reviewed. Claims about mechanical failure, pilot error or motive would therefore go beyond the established facts.

What the photograph shows

The accompanying archive photograph depicts a different Cessna 150 in the United Kingdom. It illustrates the aircraft type and is not an image of the plane involved in the Bohot accident.
