Muscat adds two routes. Check before you fly.

SalamAir says Muscat–Erbil flights will start on 25 October with two services weekly, followed by Muscat–Damascus on 28 October. The airline marked the services with a ceremony in Muscat. Two scheduled starts

SalamAir says Muscat–Erbil flights will start on 25 October with two services weekly, followed by Muscat–Damascus on 28 October. The airline marked the services with a ceremony in Muscat. Both launch dates are still ahead of this report: the announcement does not establish that the flights have operated. [1]

A route is not a travel clearance

The airline presents the expansion as improved regional connectivity. Its commercial announcement is not an independent assessment of conditions at either destination, an entry permit or confirmation that every itinerary will operate unchanged. [1]

Context: convenience and risk are separate

A direct flight can remove a connection, but it does not remove the need to check entry requirements, insurance coverage and current official travel advice. Travellers should assess the whole journey, including the consequences of cancellation or a change in operating conditions. This article does not make a destination-safety recommendation.

Before booking

Verify dates and availability directly with the airline, read fare conditions and check the advice issued by the relevant authorities for your nationality and circumstances. No fare or seat availability has been independently checked by Nove.news. The accompanying image shows a SalamAir A321 in Dhaka in May 2023, not an inaugural flight on either new route.
