Real Madrid won the season’s first Clásico 2–1 away to Barcelona. Kylian Mbappé scored both goals for the visitors, including the decisive finish in the 87th minute.

The French forward opened the scoring in the 41st minute. Raphinha brought Barcelona level in the 61st, but Mbappé struck again three minutes before the end of normal time following Eduardo Camavinga’s run and pass.

The defeat ended Barcelona’s run of nine consecutive league victories at the start of the campaign. Home advantage and a previously perfect record were not enough to prevent their first loss.

After matchday ten, Barcelona remain top on 27 points. Atlético Madrid are second with 25 and Real Madrid third with 24, leaving three points between the Clásico rivals.

The late goal changed the result’s significance: instead of preserving the gap with a draw, Madrid left with all three points. Barcelona’s next test is how they respond to the end of their winning sequence, while Real need to turn this success into consistency across the league campaign.
