CSKA beat Ludogorets 2–0 at Vasil Levski Stadium on 26 October, inflicting the visitors’ first league defeat of the season. Angelo Martino opened the scoring in the 26th minute and Leandro Godoy settled the match in the 88th.

Ludogorets had opportunities to equalise between the goals, including attempts by Ivan Zhelizko and Erick Marcus that missed the target. The late second goal ended the visitors’ pursuit of an equaliser and gave the home side a clear result in the 12th round.

The match statistics show equal possession, but CSKA led seven to three in shots on target. Those figures help explain why an evenly divided share of the ball did not produce an even score: possession measures time with the ball, not the quality or outcome of each attack.

The immediate significance is the end of Ludogorets’ unbeaten league run. It would be premature to turn one result into a verdict on the entire title race. For CSKA, however, beating an undefeated opponent is a concrete result to build on, rather than merely a promising performance.
